A Camaro allegedly used in a drive-by shooting in Tacoma also appeared in a rap video on YouTube featuring two men displaying guns, according to court records.

The car is owned by Shannon Roberts Jr., 18, of University Place. He has pleaded not guilty to drive-by shooting and possession of a stolen firearm for the Sept. 2 incident.

His cousin, Odel Stephens Jr., a 20-year-old Tacoma man, pleaded not guilty to the same charges, plus possession of a stolen firearm. When police pulled the pair over in Roberts’ Camaro after the shooting, officers allegedly found a stolen .45 caliber handgun in the backseat and a bag of marijuana in the console.

The men are suspected in two drive-by shootings that happened the night of Sept. 2 about two miles apart. The first took place in a convenience store parking lot in the 5600 block of McKinley Avenue. The victim told officers he was sitting in his car when two men began shooting at him. Stephens told police he was the one shot at.

In the second shooting, witnesses saw two men in a Camaro shoot up a home in the 4100 block of East T Street. Inside were three adults and three children. No one was injured.
