Tacoma police are looking to speak to two men they think may be witnesses to a fatal shooting at a Stadium District parking garage Aug. 31 in Tacoma.

Lawrence Howse, 54, was shot and killed in the garage of the Sky Terrace Condominiums in the 200 block of South Broadway as he was returning home.

Police are asking the public to help identify the two men, pictured in surveillance footage of a nearby convenience store, who they believe to be witnesses.

Detectives went to surrounding businesses and looked at surveillance footage from near the time of the shooting, which is how police identified the men as possible witnesses, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.

She did not identify the store.

Police ask anyone who recognizes the possible witnesses to call 253-591-5968.

Detectives are also still looking for any other witnesses who were in the area that night.

"They're still knocking on doors," Cool said.

Police have not yet identified any suspects in the shooting, she said.

They did release initial suspect descriptions of two black males in their late teens or early 20s with average builds, one with a white shirt and dark pants and another with dark shirts and dark pants.
