Kent man in critical condition after being shot in face

A Kent man was shot in the face Tuesday night and police are trying to determine what happened.

The shooting happened about 9:25 a.m. in the McDonald’s parking lot, 10125 Southeast 256th Street. Several people called 911 to report hearing 4-5 gunshots and officers arrived within three minutes, Det. Melanie Frazier said.

They found a man in his 20s lying outside of his vehicle with a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.

Police do not yet have a suspect or motive.
