Death of man hanging from Carbonado bridge ruled a suicide

Staff writerSeptember 13, 2013

The death of a 25-year-old man found Thursday hanging from a bridge in Carbonado was ruled a suicide, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The News Tribune generally does not name those who commit suicide but does report on the deaths when they take place in public.

Deputies were called to the Fairfax Bridge in the 24500 block of state Route 165 about 2:30 p.m. after a passer-by called 911 to report the body, which was hanging from a span. East Pierce fire crews retrieved the body.
