Staff writerSeptember 17, 2013

UPDATE as of 2:35 p.m. The bomb threat was fabricated, and the Sheriff's Department has given the all clear, the school district said. Schedules are back to normal, they said.

INITIAL POST: Bonney Lake High School was evacuated Tuesday after a bomb threat was called in, according to Sumner School District.

The district posted an advisory to parents on its Facebook page just before 2 p.m.

Students were sent to the football field while Pierce County sheriff’s deputies searched the campus with tracking dogs.

After-school sports will not be affected, the advisory says.
