Wisconsin-based Kohl's Department Stores says it expects to add some 50,000 workers to its payroll for the holidays to help in stores and warehouses.
Those holiday workers will be employed from a few hours weekly to more than 20 hours a week. Typical jobs include unloading trucks, processing freight, stocking the stores and operating the cash register. Most jobs will be filled by mid-November.
The number of workers hired at each store will demand on the needs of that store, said the company. On the average, each store will add about 40 holiday workers.
Kohl's a moderate-priced clothing and accessories store, has five stores in the South Sound, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Tukwila, Covington and Lacey.
