A business exposition set for Wednesday at South Tacoma's Pacific Sports and Events Center promises business people opportunities to network and to hear advice on making digital media generate business and how to operate under health care reform.
The impresslocal Business Expo is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the events center, 2645 S. 80th Street. More than 50 vendors have signed up for the show.
Organizers say the exposition, co-sponsored by The News Tribune, will give South Sound business people insights into new technology and new products and helpful information about how to use both digital marketing and newspaper advertising to create new sales.
Among the exhibitors will be Tacoma's Lynnae's Gourmet Pickles, a Tacoma-based company featured on Friday's network television show Shark Tank.
Speakers include Tom Pierson, Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber of Commerce president; David Zeeck, The News Tribune publisher; Audrey Bergland, director of corporate partner service for the Tacoma Rainiers; Dave Maddock, Maddock Insurance owner; Ches Hagen, co-founder of Vendasta Technologies, and Stephanie Owens, mentor and success mindset coach.
Tickets to the expo are $8 at the door.
