A motorcyclist who died Saturday night in a head-on collision south of Sumner was 53-year-old Stuart Hancock of Chelan, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said Sunday.

The 2009 Harley Davidson Hancock was riding westbound crossed the center line of state Route 162 and collided with a 1984 Dodge pickup truck about 7:50 p.m. in the 15400 block of the road, according to the State Patrol.

Hancock was wearing a helmet at the time, troopers said.

It was not clear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, according to the State Patrol.

One person in the truck suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, and the other was uninjured, East Pierce Fire & Rescue said.
