Two Auburn residents injured in rollover crash

Staff writerSeptember 23, 2013

Two people from Auburn were injured late Sunday after the vehicle they were riding in rolled on state Route 18, the State Patrol reported.

The accident happened about 11:40 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of SR 18 at Peasley Canyon.

Troopers said it’s unclear what caused the 42-year-old driver to lose control of the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo, which hit a guardrail and rolled over.

The freeway was blocked for two hours while the State Patrol investigated the collision.

Both the driver and his 44-year-old passenger were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with unknown injuries.
