Staff writerSeptember 24, 2013

The woman found stabbed to death in the garage of her Foxhall Drive home Monday was identified Tuesday as Frankie Austin, 59.

Her autopsy to determine cause and manner of death is pending, Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock said.

Thurston County sheriff's detectives have arrested Austin's 30-year-old son on suspicion of first-degree murder and first-degree assault for a second stabbing on Monday at a home in the 900 block of Marvin Road.

Thurston County Sheriff's Sgt. Ray Brady said that the 30-year-old son has admitted to the crimes, and showed little emotion during his interviews with detectives. He will have his first appearance before a judge Tuesday afternoon in Thurston County Superior Court.
