Police looking for man who robbed Tacoma bank at knifepoint Monday

Police are asking the public to help identify a man they say robbed a US Bank Monday in Tacoma at knifepoint.

A white man, wearing a bright green knit cap over his face and carrying a large knife, entered the bank about 11:45 a.m. in the 7000 block of Pacific Avenue South, according to Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers.

He demanded money from the tellers and walked out of the bank with the cash, police said.

The suspect is described as white, 6 feet to 6 foot 2, with a medium build, auburn hair and a beard.

He was wearing a hooded blue plaid shirt and jeans during the robbery, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959.

Tips are anonymous and can lead to a reward.
