Look for a major remodeling effort at Metropolitan Market in Tacoma’s Proctor District some time next year. And start thinking about what you'd like to see when it's done.
Brad Halverson, vice president for marketing with the grocery’s Seattle parent, said Wednesday, “Plans are still on the drawing board. We will be remodeling. I can’t give you a timeframe.”
Since purchasing the site and opening in 1995, Halverson said, “we’ve been embraced by the community. It’s not too often when you have a store where customers feel that they own it.”
He said the store would be looking to those customers, asking for input for what the remodel should entail.
“There are a number of things we still have to decide, and then go through the approval processes,” he said.
