The mid-September recall of Eastern European-style ravioli called pelmeni produced by Siberoni, a Portland firm, has been expanded to include pork-stuffed pelmini.
The firm previously had recalled chicken, beef and beef and pork-stuffed pelmini which was produced without U.S. Department of Agriculture inspection. The new recall has added pork-stuffed ravioli to the list of recalled products.
The USDA said no illnesses have been connected with the products being recalled.
"All these products bear the establishment number '33788' or 'P-33788' inside a USDA mark of inspection or elsewhere on the package. The products were produced prior to September 6, 2013 and were sold directly from the firms storefront and, via a distributor, to retail outlets in Oregon and Washington State," said the agriculture department.
Consumers with questions regarding the recall should contact Siberoni at 503-335-5843or visit the firms website at www.siberoni.com, the federal inspectors said.
