Two men wanted for robbing a Walmart store in Spanaway and shoving multiple shoppers, including a pregnant woman, were arrested Wednesday.

The robbery happened Aug. 7 at the store on Mountain Highway East.

The men took several hardware items and placed them in a shopping bag then tried to return them for cash, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

When security officers confronted them, the men allegedly bolted for the door. They pushed several shoppers out of the way as they fled.

Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers released surveillance pictures of the suspected robbers and two tipsters identified the suspects.

Deputies arrested the men Wednesday at a mobile home in Spanaway. One of the men was wearing the same baseball cap he was wearing during the robbery and told deputies he planned to turn himself in, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

The second man was found hiding in the mobile home. He said he unintentionally shoved the pregnant woman because he was scared.

Prosecutors have not yet charged the men.
