Man taken to hospital after fall from Tacoma Narrows Bridge

September 27, 2013

A man fell off the Tacoma Narrows Bridge on Friday, Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill said.

A man who saw the man hit the water said the man was wearing jeans, a T-shirt and tennis shoes. He had a life jacket on and had a GoPro camera strapped to his chest.

The witness helped pull the man to the shore and called police. He said that the man did not seem to know where he was, and he appeared to have extensive injuries.

Gill said the man was conscious and breathing. He was transported to Tacoma General Hospital.

No empty vehicle was found on the bridge, according to Gill.
