The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is asking for input as new high school equivalency exams are being developed.
The state currently uses the GED test. But it wants professionals who work in adult literacy, basic skills education, and high school completion options, as well as interested community members, to attend presentations by potential vendors on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013. The presentations will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Brockey Conference Center, Room A, at South Seattle Community College, 6000 -16th Ave. SW, in West Seattle.
On Tuesday October 1, the state board will issue a request for information on the topic. The request will be available online at the Department of Enterprise Services contracting and purchasing web site.
