Bothell man dies in motorcycle crash on I-5 in Federal Way

Staff writerSeptember 29, 2013

A Bothell man died early Saturday when he was thrown from his motorcycle on northbound Interstate 5 in Federal Way, according to the State Patrol.

William Albert Bissell, 42, was ejected from the 2008 Harley Davidson he was riding just before 5 a.m. on the freeway at South 320th Street.

Troopers were still investigating what caused him to lose control of the bike while traveling in the High Occupancy Vehicle lane, which threw him to the left shoulder of the road, according to the State Patrol.

It was dark and very rainy at the time of the wreck, which might have played a role in the crash, trooper Chris Webb said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Bissell was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
