Auburn mushroom picker still missing

Staff writerOctober 4, 2013

An Auburn mushroom picker is still missing and investigators now believe he made it out of the woods and began walking toward Packwood because the battery in his car was dead.

Saykham Tiansevilay, 68, has been missing since Saturday.

Searchers have used tracking dogs, all-terrain vehicles and ground teams to look for Tiansevilay.

Investigators today said they believe he spent the night in his vehicle Saturday and began walking toward Packwood. It’s possible somebody picked him up but foul play is not suspected, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information on Tiansevilay’s whereabouts is asked to call 360-748-9286.
