No one hurt in school bus-car crash in Spanaway involving six students

Staff writerOctober 9, 2013

No one was injured when a school bus and car crashed about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Spanaway, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.

There were six students on board when the bus crashed at 192nd Street East and 22nd Avenue East, Fire spokesman Ed Hrivnak said.

While it was quickly determined that no one was injured, Hrivnak said schools regularly insist that all students be evaluated for insurance purposes.

"It eats up a lot of resources," he said.

He did not immediately know which school or school district the bus was with.
