Parkland homeowner shot at after 2 suspects allegedly try breaking into car

A Parkland homeowner dodged a bullet Friday afternoon after confronting two people allegedly trying to break into his car.

Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told KIRO-TV that the homeowner heard a noise in his garage in the 10500 block of Park Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. Friday. 

When the homeowner went into the garage, he saw a man and a woman trying to get into his car.Troyer said the man fired a round at the homeowner with a handgun and both suspects ran off.

The homeowner was not hit in the gunfire.

Both suspects were found shortly after in another garage several blocks away and taken into custody.
