Christopher Calonje will give a presentation Thursday on the birds of Colombia at the Tahoma Audubon Society’s meeting and program.
Calonje’s presentation will include a photographic tour of Colombia and a look at its birds. He will also talk about Colombia’s geography, cuisine, culture and people. In addition, Calonje will discuss the increasingly improved security situation in Colombia and the country’s efforts to promote responsible environmental and social nonprofits that work for conservation and supporting local communities.
The doors will open at 7 p.m., with the program running from 7:30-9 p.m. It will be held at the Tacoma Nature Center, 1919 S. Tyler St., Tacoma.
