Police ask anyone with information about the fatal hit-and-run accident that happened Oct. 5 near the Log Cabin Tavern in Sumner to call 253-299-5678.

Sumner police released surveillance footage Monday of a suspect vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run that happened Oct. 5 near the Log Cabin Tavern.

The video shows the vehicle, which police think is a dark small sedan or sports car, traveling left to right across the screen on East Valley Highway.

It's the same vehicle that was involved in the hit-and-run accident in the 2700 block of East Valley Highway that killed 23-year-old Rachel Givens, police said.

She was crossing the road to the Tavern when she was hit, investigators said.

They hope the public will help identify the vehicle or put together a more complete description of it. It will have damage to its front end and maybe windshield, police said.

They're also hoping to speak with people who were in a silver Subaru Outback that was heading south on East Valley Highway right after Givens was hit, just before 11 p.m.

The Subaru is not visible in the surveillance video.

Sumner Police also said Monday that an anonymous donor had offered $5,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, prosecution and conviction of the suspect.

Anyone with information is asked to call 253-299-5678.
