Nisqually Red Wind Casino is set to expand and add more parking, a $45 million project that is expected to begin next month and be complete in December 2014.
The casino will expand by 42,700 square feet, including room for a smoke-free casino, and add a 600-space parking facility.
About 70 jobs will be created as a result of the expansion, according to a news release.
"The Nisqually Tribe is investing in the future," Nisqually Tribal Council Chair Cynthia Iyall said in a statement.
Red Wind Casino opened in 1997 and has since grown to 95,000 square feet. It features three restaurants and 975 video lottery terminals.
