Police ask for help to find Tacoma man reported missing

Staff writerOctober 21, 2013

Detectives said Monday that they're asking the public to help find a Tacoma man missing under suspicious circumstances since Oct. 1.

Santiago Sanchez Cortes, 59, had never missed a day of work without telling his coworkers at the job he's had for multiple years, police said.

He was reported missing after he didn't show up for several days, and no one has seen or heard from him, police said.

"That's very, very out of character for him," police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.

He's described as Hispanic, 5 foot 4, and 190 pounds, with graying black hair and brown eyes.
