Residents seeking more information about health care options under the Affordable Care Act, which will take effect in 2014, can attend four workshops in Tacoma next month.
The free workshops will provide an overview of the new law, commonly known as Obamacare, and how to get help in choosing a health insurance plan and information about government subsidies. The workshops also will cover items in the act that affect individuals and families, and people who are employed or unemployed.
People can ask questions about the act during the workshops.
Pierce County Aging and Disability Resources will hold workshops, lasting up to an hour, at four locations:
• 12:10 p.m., Nov. 4: Pierce County Annex Main Meeting Room, 2401 S. 35th St.
• 4:30 p.m., Nov. 4: Sound View Building, 3602 Pacific Ave.
