Teen injured in hunting accident near Greenwater in serious condition

Staff writerOctober 22, 2013

A teen injured in a hunting accident Friday about 8 miles east of Greenwater was in serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit of Harboview Medical Center Tuesday, spokeswoman Susan Gregg said.

Further information about the boy, including where he's from, was not available Tuesday.

KING-TV has reported that he is 17 years old.

The accident happened about 3 p.m. when a line snapped and hit the teen, while a group hunting was trying to pull an Elk up a hill with a truck, said Paul Sowers, chief of Greenwater Fire (also known as Pierce County Fire District 26).
