The Puget Sound area is forecast to be windy Sunday afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service said.
The north winds are expected to pick up, and will be strongest near shorelines, meteorologists said.
Speeds there should be 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 40, they said.
Further inland, winds are forecast to be 10 to 20 miles per hour, with gusts to 30.
Power outages are possible, according to the Weather Service, because the wind might knock down branches, especially from trees that still have their leaves.
The wind should start dying out Sunday evening.
