Wilson High student taken to hospital after officer, teacher perform CPR

Staff writerOctober 29, 2013

A 14-year-old boy at Wilson High School was taken to Mary Bridge Children's Hospital when his heart stopped Tuesday afternoon, according to Tacoma police.

Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said the student was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Tacoma Public Schools spokesman Dan Voelpel said he could not release information about the student's condition.

He did say that the school principal went to the hospital to check on the student, and that a teacher and school resource officer performed CPR before emergency crews arrived.

Further information was not immediately available.
