Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Mariners declined 2014 contract options for outfielder Franklin Gutierrez and pitcher Joe Saunders, making both players free agents.

Gutierrez was limited to 41 games this past season due to a series of hamstring issues. He hit .248 with 10 homers and 24 RBI.

The 30-year-old Venezuelan has hit .256 with 127 doubles, 67 homers and 279 RBI in 762 career games with the Indians (2005-08) and Mariners (2009- present).

The Mariners' 40-man roster is now at 34 players, with reliever Stephen Pryor moved from the 60-day disabled list to the 40-man roster on Friday.
