Newcomer leads incumbent by wide margin for Fife City Council Position 6

Dee-Dee Dukes-Gethers, a two-year Fife City Council member, was trailing challenger Winston Marsh in early election returns Wednesday.

As of noon, Marsh had more than 60 percent of the votes.

According to the Pierce County voters guide, Marsh has experience in management and finance and has lived in the city for six years.

He wants to balance resources and the needs of the community if elected.

At noon Wednesday the Pierce County Auditor's Office had counted nearly 24 percent of ballots.
