Author will talk to those working with teens

Chap Clark, author of “Hurt: Inside the World of Today’s Teenagers” and “Hurt 2.0,” will offer a free presentation for parents, educators and others who work with youth from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Wilson High School auditorium in Tacoma, 1202 N. Orchard St..

Clark will talk about issues modern teens deal with, how to break unhealthy patterns and how to build a good foundation for the next generation.

Sponsors include Tacoma Public Schools, the Boys and Girls Club, the YMCA and other community groups. The event will offer free child care for families and optional clock hours for educators.
