Last week: McGladrey Classic, through Sunday, Sea Island, Ga.

In the field: Gig Harbor’s Kyle Stanley and University Place’s Michael Putnam.

Four-round scores: Putnam shot a 3-under-par 67. Stanley shot a 2-over 72.

Positions: Putnam (even-par 280) tied for 48th, and Stanley (1-over 281) tied for 55th — all behind winner Chris Kirk (14-under 266).

Recap: Putnam got hot for an eight-hole stretch, making four birdies (Nos. 16-17, 4-5) to move up 17 spots on the leaderboard. In fact, he nearly holed a wedge approach at the fifth hole from 122 yards, getting a tap-in birdie. … Stanley was even through 13 holes before making a double bogey at No. 14, three-putting from 25 feet after going long with his second shot at the par 4.

Next: Stanley, Putnam and Puyallup’s Ryan Moore are all in the field for next week’s OHL Classic at Mayakoba starting Thursday at El Camaleon in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
