The northbound state Route 7 ramp to Interstate 705 will close Monday night while crews enforce the bridge for earthquake safety, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The ramp will close at 10 p.m. Monday. It is scheduled to reopen in January.
About 3,000 vehicles use the ramp daily, DOT spokesman Doug Adamson said.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured via Interstate 5 and the Portland Avenue interchange.
The ramp will be used as a construction zone while crews seismically retrofit bridge columns in the I-705/ SR-7 interchange.
