The northbound state Route 7 ramp to Interstate 705 was to close late Tuesday while crews strengthened the bridge for earthquake safety, according to the state Department of Transportation.
The ramp is scheduled to reopen in January.
About 3,000 vehicles use the ramp daily, Transportation Department spokesman Jeff Adamson said. They will be detoured via Interstate 5 and the Portland Avenue interchange.
The ramp will be a construction zone while crews retrofit bridge columns in the I-705/state Route 7 firstname.lastname@example.org
