2 arrested for allegedly smashing windows on 79 cars in Puyallup

Staff writerNovember 15, 2013

Puyallup police have arrested two people suspected of smashing windows and side mirrors on 79 vehicles last week.

The vandalism spree lasted from Nov. 7 to Nov. 9. Witnesses reported seeing someone hanging out of a red car use a pipe or baseball bat to smash the windows.

A tip led police to a 22-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, who were arrested Thursday night on suspicion of malicious mischief after detectives used surveillance footage to tie the suspects and their car to the crimes.
