Tacoma schools to host discussion of issues

November 18, 2013

Parents and Friends for Tacoma Public Schools will hold a meeting to discuss issues surrounding testing in public schools. The discussion will focus on whether students face too many tests and are overstressed because of it, whether evaluating teachers based on student testing is fair, and how national initiatives have changed the classroom environment.

The session is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Olympic Room at the Tacoma Main Library, 1102 Tacoma Ave. S.

The public is invited to join the discussion. For more information go to PFTPS.org.
