Kalama man found fatally stabbed in Tacoma

A man found dead Sunday in the 4500 block of South Asotin Street died from multiple stab wounds, the Pierce County Medical Examiner's Office said.

The man was Derek Wagner, 27 of Kalama. His death was a homicide.

Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said a homeowner called 911 about 1 p.m. to report finding the body outside.

Cool said detectives were not yet releasing further details about the investigation.
