Gig Harbor firefighters put out a blaze reported about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Trillium Park.

They found flames and heavy smoke near the front entrance to the two-story house, and quickly knocked down the fire and started ventilating smoke out of the home, spokeswoman Nanette Tatom said.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire was electrical, and the damage is estimated at $55,000, for the structure and contents.
