3rd suspect arrested in Puyallup car window smashings

A third person believed to have helped break windows on 79 vehicles in Puyallup was Wednesday, police said Thursday.

The 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of malicious mischief. Two alleged accomplices, a 22-year-old woman and 24-year-old man, were arrested last week and released from jail after posting bail.

Pierce County prosecutors said they are reviewing the case and trying to determine the appropriate charges for the trio.

They are accused of using a baseball bat or pipe to smash the windows and side mirrors on the vehicles in Puyallup from Nov. 7 to Nov. 9.
