Franklin Pierce School District gets rebate for $2M power project

Franklin Pierce School District received a $28,000 rebate from Tacoma Power for completing a more than $2 million project to lower energy usage. The project cost also was offset by a $1 million state grant and $44,555 in energy conservation incentives.

Annual energy savings from the improvements at Washington High School, Franklin Pierce High School, Ford Middle School, Keithley Middle School and Midland Elementary School are expected to be $30,259, plus an estimated $7,000 in other annual cost savings.
