Snow and ice may snarl drive to Seahawks game Monday

Staff writerDecember 1, 2013

An impending cold front could bring snow and ice to the Seattle area Monday, and the state Department  of Transportation is cautioning anyone headed to the Seahawks game to prepare for winter driving conditions.

Freezing temperatures are forecast to hit from Everett north in the morning, and to reach Seattle by the afternoon.

Cold weather is expected through this week, with lows averaging 15 to 25 degrees, according to the weather service. Meteorologists predict highs will not be much above freezing.

DOT crews will clear snow and ice, and troopers will be ready to help plows and sand trucks navigate traffic Monday.
