Tacoma man sentenced to 15 years for possessing child pornography

Staff writerDecember 5, 2013

A Tacoma man was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography.

David Lloyd Beavers, 43, pleaded guilty in September, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which investigated the case.

Beavers, a convicted child rapist, was arrested in June after an undercover federal agents who monitor child-porn websites identified him as the user of a Russian photo-sharing site known to deal in child pornography, ICE reported.

Agents raided his house and seized a lap-top computer containing "several images depicting child sex abuse," the agency said in a news release.
