Recap: Butler vs. North Dakota

Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Kellen Dunham scored 29 points as the Butler Bulldogs defeated North Dakota, 79-64, in a non-conference affair at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Khyle Marshall scored 21 points for the Bulldogs (6-2). Kameron Woods paced the team with nine boards.

North Dakota (2-5) was led by Troy Huff and his 20 points and five rebounds. Jaron Nash added 10 points, four steals and three blocks.

North Dakota struggled in the first half by shooting 29.6 percent and went 2- of-11 from 3-point range. Butler took a 39-22 lead into the break after shooting 43.3 percent from the floor, including 3-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Butler came out of the intermission hot, draining 61.5 percent of its shots from the floor as it cruised to victory.

The Bulldogs cleaned up on the glass, pulling down more rebounds than North Dakota with a 44-28 edge. Despite losing, North Dakota's bench outscored Butler's reserves, 25-14.
