Portlandia Vintners 2012 Pinot Gris

Portlandia Vintners 2012 Pinot Gris

Oregon’s most popular white wine receives a tiny bit of help here from Chardonnay, Viognier and Muscat, and the results are impressive from this company headquartered in Seattle. Classic aromas of starfruit, grapefruit, pear, apple and orange oil don’t mislead. The drink is clean and bright with ripe orchard fruit and pleasing acidity. There’s no hint at oak and no distraction from residual sugar. Rated "Outstanding" by Great Northwest Wine. (13.5 percent alcohol)

Price: $20

Cases produced: 500

Food pairing: Chicken, halibut, salmon or shellfish will pair nicely with this lovely white wine.
