Bobcats sign Douglas-Roberts, waive Southerland

Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Charlotte Bobcats have signed swingman Chris Douglas-Roberts and waived forward James Southerland.

Douglas-Roberts had been playing with Texas of the NBA Development League. In six games this season, he has averaged 18.7 points with 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists.

The four-year NBA veteran has averaged 7.5 points with 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 161 games with the Nets, Bucks and Mavericks.

Southerland, a former Syracuse standout, signed with the Bobcats in September after going undrafted and played just three minutes in one game for Charlotte.
