Woman rescued after car goes down boat launch at Narrows Marina

Staff writerDecember 12, 2013

A woman was rescued Thursday night after her car went down a boat launch at the Narrows Marina in Tacoma, according to Tacoma Fire.

Battalion Chief Dave McRoberts said it appeared the woman thought she was driving around a building when she turned down the boat launch about 5:45 p.m., at 9007 South 19th St.

Tacoma police arrived first on the scene, and were able to help the woman to safety, he said.

Tacoma Fire and West Pierce crews also responded.

Medics determined the woman was OK.

McRoberts said a tow truck was going to remove the vehicle.
