Its clinic will be at at 5700 100th St. SW, which is the shopping center with the RiteAid, Petco, Big 5 Sporting Goods and Verizon store, among others.

The new space is 12,000 square feet and will employ 34 people when it opens, according to a news release. Seven new jobs will be added soon, the release said: two providers and two nursing staff members in primary care, and one provider and two nursing staff members in Occupational Medicine.

MultiCare has operated a clinic in Lakewood since 1998. It'll be leaving its location at Lakewood Colonial Center, which was bought this past spring by a California company that owns retail centers across the country.

The urgent care center in the current location will close at noon on Saturday, Dec. 14, MultiCare says on its website. Go to www.multicare.org/waittimes to see wait times for other urgent care locations.

Phone numbers for the clinic and urgent care center remain the same.
