Seattle, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Perris Blackwell finished with 20 points and seven rebounds as the Washington Huskies coasted to an 85-66 decision over the Idaho State Bengals in non-conference action at Alaska Airlines Arena.
C.J. Wilcox scored 19 points and blocked four shots to help Washington (5-4) pick up its third win in four outings. Andrew Andrews added 17 points while Nigel Williams-Goss chipped in 13 points and five assists.
Tomas Sanchez and Jeffrey Solarin scored 14 points each for Idaho State (3-4) as it suffered its second consecutive setback. Sanchez also tallied six assists and four steals while Solarin grabbed six rebounds. Andre Hatchett and Chris Hansen scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Bengals.
The Huskies took a 46-35 lead into halftime after they knocked down 7-of-13 attempts from beyond the arc in the opening 20 minutes. Idaho State trailed at the break despite connecting on 56 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half.
Washington pulled away even further by shooting 53.3 percent from the floor after the intermission. The Bengals managed to convert just 37 percent of their field goal attempts including a 2-of-9 clip from behind the 3-point line in the second period.
The Huskies held a 31-21 edge in the rebounding battle and outscored the visitors, 30-6, from 3-point range in the contest.
