Oxford, MS (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarvis Summers netted 25 points, leading the Ole Miss Rebels in a comeback victory over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, 72-63, at Tad Smith Coliseum.
Summers shot 7-of-11 from the field and 8-of-11 at the free-throw line for the Rebels (7-2). Marshall Henderson scored 15 points, including 4-of-9 from behind the 3-point line, while LaDarius White and Aaron Jones added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Shawn Jones recorded a double-double for the Blue Raiders (7-3) with 18 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. Neiko Hunter also scored 18 points and Tweety Knight helped the offense with 10 assists and seven points.
Shooting 46.4 percent from the floor and 8-of-11 at the line, the Rebels were the slightly better team in the first half. The Blue Raiders converted 45.8 percent and 5-of-11 on free throws, heading into halftime trailing 37-30.
Middle Tennessee took the lead with 10:33 left and led by six shortly thereafter. Beginning with 6:16 remaining, however, the Rebels put together a 14-3 run to end the game, taking the lead at 5:33 on a Henderson 3-pointer. The Raiders shot just 36.1 percent from the field in the second half and could not hold off the Rebels' late charge.
Ole Miss had a staggering advantage in points off turnovers, outscoring Middle Tennessee 25-3. The Rebels also outscored the visitors 12-2 on fast-break points in a game with six lead changes and four ties.
