Recap: Stanford vs. UC Davis

Stanford, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chasson Randle led four starters in double figures with 16 points, shooting 5-of-6 behind the 3-point line, as the Stanford Cardinal crushed the UC Davis Aggies, 83-56, in non-conference play at Maples Pavilion.

Josh Huestis, Anthony Brown and Dwight Powell all scored 15 points for the Cardinal (7-2), the latter also clearing 10 rebounds and handing out six assists as the hosts posted their second straight win.

The Aggies (3-8) were paced by Georgi Funtarov and Brynton Lemar with 13 and 11 points, respectively.

Stanford opened the meeting on a 22-5 run and never looked back, shooting 51.9 percent from the field in the first half, including 6-of-13 behind the 3-point line, in order to claim a 40-23 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Cardinal improved to 65.4 percent from the floor and also made good on 5-of-7 (.714) on the perimeter as they cruised to the comfortable victory.

UC Davis, which trailed the entire game, shot only 34.5 percent from the field as it lost for the sixth time in as many outings.
